Bought Quicken Premier 2016 in July 2016 and had no trouble activating the software and installing the patches through release 8. I buy most software via Amazon download these days. It's think it's more of a guessing game on pricing promos with the new owners. These bigger deals are likely to reoccur, and I suppose it depends on your ability to wait it out. It seems pretty typical that Amazon has the same occasional BIG discounts, but I've also seen instances where Quicken is back to full price on their website and Amazon still offers smaller discounts from time to time.

I watched those same types of pricing promo movements happen a lot over the past few years.

Based on past history, I'd expect Amazon to go up (it's currently exactly 40% off too) near or after that Nov 29 date as well. Does anyone have experience with the new 2017 Quicken on high-resolution screens? My 2016 Quicken is one of the troublesome applications.

When a fix release came available it would not install because, Intuit said, I had an unregistered (or somesuch) copy. Two updates back I got my copy from Amazon instead of from Intuit because it was cheaper but I ran into trouble. I'm hoping Amazon will keep that price but either way, I am unsure if I want to get it from Amazon. I see Amazon has it for the same price but don't know if that's a sale price that will also run out in 4 or 5 days. Premier is now offered by Quicken for a very decent savings. So, where do we stand on updating to the new Quicken 2017? Joy or Horror?
